We got our second Bluum box in the mail this week, and Kingston knew exactly what it was! He yelled "MAH BOX MAH BOX" and had to get out of his high chair to open it immediately. This was his 19 month box, and we hadn't had any clues as to what would be inside, so it was extra exciting. Bluum Box is a monthly subscription box for pregnancy through pre-k. They are curated specifically for your child's age, and also typically include an item for Mama as well! The boxes range in price from from $21-$24.95 a month depending on how many months you buy. Kingston dug right into the box!
Here is what we received in the box as well as the lowest retail price that I could find:
Ella's Kitchen Organic Baby Food Carrots, Apples and Parsnips - $1.88 and Ella's Kitchen Organic Baby Food Strawberry Plus Apples - $1.88. Kingston loves these pouches. We got two of them in our last box also. These were two different ones to try which was nice, but I hope that we get to try different snacks next month. K was eating the carrot, apple & parsnip one before he had finished opening the box, however he is allergic to strawberries so we won't be trying the other one.
Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker - $8.23 - We love Melissa and Doug toys! We currently own the Melissa & Doug Geometric Stacker, so we will either be saving this for baby Bentley or re-gifting it to somebody else. It is a great toy though and a wonderful addition to the Bluum box. I have seen this stacker in many other subscription boxes recently.
Bright Baby Slide and Find Who's My Mom? - $4.46 - We LOVE Roger Priddy books! Kingston was really excited about this one. The slide and find flaps are really fun and he loves animals, so this was definitely a win for us.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Nettle - $18.00 - I am SO excited about this Mom product! I have been wanting dry shampoo for so long, and from what I have read about this product it seems like a good one. It is a full size product at 3.2 oz and is made with nettle. I am really excited to try it out!
Tom'S Of Maine Toddler's Flouride-Free Natural Toothpaste In Mild Fruit Gel 1.75 Ounce - $4.36 - I can't even tell you how excited I was to receive this. Currently we are using a toothpaste that unbeknownst to me is rated VERY poorly on the EWG Skin Deep website. So, I was thrilled to throw that in the trash and welcome this one into our routine. Toms of Maine is a brand that I trust and is rated very low for hazardous material. This was a definite win!
Was it worth it?
With discounts and a 6 month subscription, the cost of our box was $19. The total of products in this (taking into account the lowest prices I could find!) was $38.81! That is a little bit more than double, which makes me really happy. Also, shipping this month was incredibly fast. It arrived only a day and a half after I was contacted that it had shipped.
What doesn't make me happy is that last month customer service promised me a replacement item in this box, and there wasn't one. I have contacted customer service AGAIN, and I am hoping that I will be able to receive my replacement product immediately. I will update with their response when they get back to me. So far they have been very communicative in their customer service, however, I know they are dealing with a merge with the subscription company Stork Stack, so hopefully they will remain prompt.
Edit: Bluum responded back letting me know my replacement product would ship out within 5-7 business days! I will include that product in the next box review.
EDIT EDIT: Replacement product is HERE!!
What did you receive in your Bluum box this month? Were you happy with it?
